– Valencia has a lot of great tapas bars, but Tinto Fino is my favourite. It just has everything: good atmosphere, nice staff and delicious tapas. And to top it all, it’s located in the heart of Valencia.
A cosy tapas bar close to the Cathedral of Valencia
I discovered Tinto Fino together with my sister about 2 years ago. We were walking through the small streets around the Cathedral, when we saw a cosy restaurant full of people. We were thinking: when it’s hard to find a free table, it has to be good and that turned out to be true. Since then, Tinto Fino has become one of my favourite restaurants in Valencia.
A wide assortment of wines
When we stepped inside, we directly felt the warm atmosphere. We didn’t make a reservation and no table was available, but the kind waitress told us that we could wait at the bar. Eventually, we decided to eat at the bar, because actually it was a very nice spot. We ordered a red wine recommended by the waitress. They have a big selection of different types of wine.
My favourites
On the menu you can find a great selection of Spanish and Italian tapas. It’s hard for me to choose what to recommend, because I have a lot of favourites at Tinto Fino. I personally love truffle, therefore I recommend the Trufaditos: roasted potatoes with truffle cream. Do you like goat cheese? Than you should order Capricho: baked goat cheese with a jam topping. Another favourite is Hatillo: a combination of mozzarella, eggplant and zucchini rolled in speck.
So, if you want to enjoy great wine and tapas close to the Cathedral of Valencia, you definitely have to go to Tinto Fino!
