Hello everyone! I am Sofie Lambrou. I grew up in a small village in The Netherlands, but my life took a wonderful turn when I moved to Valencia in January 2017. My mother is Dutch and my father is Greek. Thus, I always loved visiting Greece because of its culture, food and climate. Therefore, the love for the south of Europe didn’t came from nowhere, it’s in my blood.
In September 2014 I came to Valencia for the first time for an internship due to my studies. At that time, it was rare that a student from my university went abroad and so, it felt challenging for me. I am extremely happy I took the decision to do my internship abroad because since then, Valencia has a special place in my heart. Throughout my first experience in Valencia, I not only fell in love with the city itself but I also fell in love with my current boyfriend. After I completed my studies, I decided to spread my wings and challenge myself once more and move definitively to Valencia.
Currently, I am working part-time at a Dutch company called Helloprint. On the other days I dedicate my time to my blog. Another passion of mine which I try to make time for is photography. Capturing moments, time or places brings me closer to the surroundings and it better depicts my journey here. Besides that, I enjoy reading and cooking. I usually cook Greek food (which I learned from my father), and I enjoy it even more because it brings me closer to my roots. Also, I love cooking and eating Moroccan food and I am now trying to get familiar with the Spanish cuisine.
Now you know a little more about me, however, I invite you to keep reading my blog to discover more about Valencia, the city of oranges and its hidden treasures.
Love, Sofie
