6 nice shops in the district El Carmen

6 nice shops in the district El Carmen

I personally love to go to the district el Carmen, located in the city centre of Valencia. The narrow streets are filled with bars, restaurants, street art and cool shops. I made a list for you with the coolest shops which you definitely have to visit when you want to shop in Valencia.

1.Pop-up stores at Mercado de Tapineria

A very nice concept has been created in a small square close to Plaza de la Reina. The project is called Mercado de Tapineria. It consists out of 3 stores and 2 bars/restaurants. The concepts of the stores change every now and then with art, fashion, decoration and more. Besides that, they organize a lot of events like workshops, music events, second hand markets, presentations and more. I really recommend you to visit their stores and eat some tapas at Bar&Kitchen or La Bernarda. Especially in the weekends it has a very nice atmosphere!

2.San Spirito Vintage

At San Spirito Vintage you can find vintage clothing and accessories. They sell internationally selected vintage and collections from their own line of Ready to Wear.

You can find high fashion brands such as Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent or Valentino and denim classics such as Levi’s, Lee or Wrangler. Other classics are brands such as Adidas, Lacoste and Fred Perry. Next to that, they also sell pieces from the best sartorial schools such as the Neapolitan or the Savile Row.

For me, personally this is one of the best Vintage stores in El Carmen. Furthermore, it’s recommended in several trendy books about Valencia such as 100% Valencia and Time to Momo.

3.Kaif

I really like visiting this shop. Kaif is a very nice boutique in one of the busiest streets in El Carmen. They offer retro-inspired designs at affordable prices. It opened its doors in June 2012. Three young people with love for fashion wanted to bring something different to the world of fashion. They wanted to be different by offering cool designs of the latest trends with a good price-quality ratio and own identity. In my opinion they made their promise come true.

4.Studio Vintage

Studio Vintage is a shop located in the heart of the Carmen district of Valencia and specialized in twentieth century styles. You can find a selection of original furniture and decoration objects from the 30s, 50s, 60s, 70s. As well as an interesting variety of vintage sunglasses from brands such as Dior, Valentino, Paco Rabanne and more.

5.Pángala

At Pángala you can find unique bags and accessories. Because all of their products are very unique, they have just a few of every piece. Amongst the bags they offer, you can choose backpacks and shoulder bags. Looking for accessories? Take a look at their pencil cases, home decoration and small bags for tobacco. All of their products are designed and created in Valencia. Most of their bags are made of washable paper and leather. So if you like something special made in Valencia you have to visit the shop Pángala.

6.Used Vintage Valencia

In my opinion, besides San Spirito Vintage, this is one of the best vintage stores in Valencia. Over the years it became very popular amongst the locals. It has a wide second hand product range of famous brands such as Nike, Adidas, Fila and Reebok and classic denim brands such as Levi’s and Lee. Used Vintage is also famous because of its collection of Hawaiian t-shirts. Definitely worth a visit!

I hope you enjoyed reading my tips about shopping in the district el Carmen of Valencia. Do you know another shop that definitely belongs to this list? Just let me know in a comment!
